SVSi Model Search is an application for finding and viewing online 3d models easily and quickly. Google 3D Warehouse contains millions of 3d models accessible to anyone and SVSi Model Search makes finding and viewing them easy and intuitive with a mobile device.

Search from millions of models ranging from small objects like rings or furniture into massive famous constructions like churches and bridges. Find anything from real life objects into cartoon, movie and game characters.

User guide

The application consists from three basic functions: searching, selecting and viewing. Viewing has an info view and 3d view. The info view displays information about the model and the 3d view allows the user to pan, rotate and zoom the 3d model.

Models are searched by writing a set of keywords to the search field according to search rules used commonly in the web. The search results are displayed six at a time and navigation buttons are provided to go to next or previous result set. Once a model is selected, the application starts downloading the 3D model and any other information available about it. Once the 3D model has been downloaded, a button "3d view" is enabled to access the 3d view.

In 3d view, the model can be panned, rotated and zoomed with touch gestures. Rotation is the default action. Panning can be activated with a douple click ontop of the object or pressing x from the keyboard. Zooming can be activated from the right side of the screen or pressing y from the keyboard. Another type of rotation can be be activated from the left side of the screen.
